ROLLEIFLEX 2.8 GX Royal URUSHI: Judging from the Rollei site, two special edition 1995 Rolleiflex GX were made to commemorate 75 years of the Rollei, founded in 1920. 900 Rolleiflex 2.8GX, 75th Anniversary Edition were made. Even more limited is the GX Royal Urushi, using a famous Japanese hand coated lacquer technique called Urushi. According to my source, only 130 of the Royal Urushi were produced, making this one of the rarest Rolleiflex ever. Real world, ANY Rollei GX, the TTL metering version of the classic 2.8 F is rare. The Rollei site describes these two cameras as "final production." For the time being, until the next reincarnation of the fabled Rollei TLR, these appear to be the last of the long proud line Rollei TLR.
