Classic Zeiss Contax or Nikon Rangefinder to Micro 4/3 Adapter $225
Amedeo designed and produced this adapter for CameraQuest. Incredibly solid and well machined, it allows the use of classic Zeiss Contax Rangefinder and Nikon Rangefinder external mount lenses on your M43 camera. For newbies, said external mount lenses all have built in focusing helicals and mount on the outer, external mount bayonet. In other words, lenses like the Voigtlander SC lenses made for same cameras. INFO HERE Please note it does not mount most of the 50mm lenses for these cameras, with internal mount bayonets.

The aperture log on the back of the FD Breech Mount lens Must be rotated and locked to the left position as shown here.
Contax / Yashica lenses to Micro 4/3 Cameras Adapter $179
Leica R Lenses to Micro 4/3 Cameras Adapter $179
Nikon G Lens Adapter by Rayqual to M43 $249 SALE $209
Works with both G and non G lenses. Adjust aperture ring 0 to 7 on the adapter for G lenses. You will have to experiment a bit with each lens to determine the aperture, but this won't be much of a problem as the camera's meter works with Aperture Priority or Manual. This is a precision quality adapter which fits and works correctly with any M43 camera.
Olympus OM Lenses to Micro 4/3 Cameras Adapter $179
· You may mount the adapter on the Panasonic G1 and leave it on the camera, interchanging Canon FD lenses – conveniently without removing the adapter from the camera.
· Lenses requiring mirror lockup on various Canon film SLR bodies likely will not mount on the M 4/3 adapter.
· Some Canon lenses are a LOT bigger than your G1 camera. Properly support the lenses to avoid undue stress on the camera’s lens mount. The weight of a heavy Canon telephoto can tear the lens mount off your G1!
· Mounting FD Bayonet Mount Lenses:
o 1) Move the aperture to the widest F/stop
o 2) Notice there are TWO index marks on the adapter: a white-outlined triangle pointing towards the camera body and a solid white triangle pointing towards the lens.
o 3) 1st Align the lens red dot index mark with the white outlined TRIANGULAR index mark pointing towards the camera body. Do NOT try to engage the adapter with the lens bayonet mount yet – that is the next step 4. The purpose of this initial alignment is to engage the adapter’s pin BEHIND the lens aperture lever.
o 4) Now rotate the lens towards the SOLID white triangular index mark pointing towards the lens. (this aligns the lens aperture pin correctly)
o
5) Now rotate the lens in the opposite direction toward and past the white outlined triangle pointing towards the camera body until it locks into place.
6) To remove the lens, press down on the lens release and rotate the lens back towards the SOLID white triangular index mark.
· Mounting FD Breech Mount Lenses:
o 1) Move the aperture ring to any f/stop, but not the A or O setting
o 2) Make sure the largest aperture lug pin on the back of the lens is pushed to the left position(this is the only pin on the back of your lens which can be pushed back and forth)
o 3) Align the indexing marks on the adapter and lens, rotate breech mount to lock lens on to adapter
· Mounting FL Breech Mount Lenses: Align the mounting points on the lens and adapter, turn lens mounting ring to lock lens on adapter, make sure aperture switch is set to M so you have manual control of the aperture
· R Canonmatic Lenses: Will not mount. The Canonmatic R lenses are the earliest Canon SLR lenses, made prior to the FL series.
· Mount your adapter on the G1 (with or without the lens) and set the camera dial on the top plate to A for aperture priority
· Open the LCD panel on the back of the G1 and press the “Menu/Set” button on the back of the camera
· On the far left frame of the LCD panel, go down to the 2nd tier, the Custom Menu
· Now go to last Custom menu setting “SHOOT W/O LENS”
· The “SHOOT W/O LENS” MUST be ON -- otherwise the G1’s viewfinder will be dark when you have the adapter mounted.
· Remember your Micro 4/3 works well with the first Micro 4/3 camera to hit the market, the Panasonic Lumix G1. Future Micro 4/3 cameras may or may not be compatible, depending upon their future design features. Thanks to Alex Shishin with input on these FD adapter directions.
